Goodbye Wendy's guy, hello new jobs
Lots of good news to report today. First, the unofficial Wendy's guy has been axed. You'll see no more of his lame commercials from now on. If you ask me, Christmas has come early for all of us because I think we were wishing for that all year long. I guess someone heard our cry for help and decided to silence that annoying nerd.
Secondly, the economy is improving and recent reports say that US jobs are increasing at a healthy rate. I was reading an article recently which said that this year and next year will be some of the best ever for recent college graduates. Companies are once again starting to feel financially secure and hiring confidence is growing. So if anyone reading this is a senior in college, your job prospects just got brighter. Now go land some interviews!
Another interesting thing I read recently is that the improvement of the economy - and the resulting need for new hires - will be so great that many companies will relax their hiring requirements for various positions. This means that the dream job you've been shooting for at ABC Corporation - which once demanded an MBA to even be considered - may waive that requirement and consider you anyway. Great news for those of us that tend to aim high, even though we don't have the "on paper" credentials that many companies are looking for.
One last point I want to make is regarding holiday job searching. Lots of people tend to get lazy and blow off job searching during holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Fact is, this is one of the best times to look for a job. Why? Most companies are already gearing up for next year. Now is the time when they plan projects for the coming year, project their staffing needs, and prepare their annual budgets. They are primed and ready to start hiring as soon as the new year hits, therefore they need to be eyeing potential candidates NOW. I myself have been conducting an extensive job search the past month, and have received lots of responses already. Strike while the iron is hot, there's no better time than now to advance your career!
Happy holidays and don't forget to visit http://www.searchforjobs.net/ for all your job search needs.

Wowee, my first blog, aren't I special?
Hello all you SearchForJobs.net visitors. If you're reading this then I guess you got tired of searching for jobs and needed a break. Personally, after a few hours of scrolling through thousands of jobs and reading job descriptions I nearly go blind. Let's face it: even though searching for a new job can open the door for a lot of exciting possibilities, it's still a drag. Kinda like going to the DMV or the dentist, except in the job scenario you actually make money instead of spending it. Money aside, whether you're searching for a job, waiting in line at the DMV, or squirming in the dentist's chair, chances are you're suffering and miserable. Want me to cheer you up? OK, I will. Close your eyes and imagine that you are having a pillow fight with the "unofficial Wendy's guy"- you know, that nerd from the Wendy's commercials? Anyway, this pillow fight is unique in that only you have a pillow. He is unarmed and cowering like the nerd that he is. You hurl the pillow over and over, beating him silly as the room fills with feathers (yes, that's a goose-down pillow that you're wielding). Finally, Mr. Unofficial Wendy's spokesman slumps to the ground in defeat, disoriented and whimpering. Just then you say "had enough you annoying bastard?" He responds with his usual "well....unofficially" and you deliver the final blow, knocking him out. He lies there comatose, most likely dreaming about Wendy's .99 cent menu, and you enjoy the temporary silence.
